"Owning a property abroad can be highly rewarding, but it brings financial risks that aren't always encountered in the UK. Different climates, unfamiliar local regulations and longer periods of unoccupancy can all increase the likelihood of unexpected issues. Regular inspections, proactive maintenance and having insurance in place can help prevent minor problems from becoming costly repairs."
